Welcome to the Conservative Order for Good Government where we examine the pressing issues of our times with topics ranging from securing our borders and stopping terrorists attacks in the United States to shoring up San Diego’s infrastructure and striking a balance for its public employee benefits.
We are a non-partisan and non-sectarian organization that welcomes members and guests of all political stripes. COGG does not endorse candidates or contribute to their campaigns.
Past speakers have included Daphne Hearn, Special Agent In Charge of the FBI’s San Diego Office;San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer; Imam Taha Hassane; City Attorney Jan Goldsmith; SDSU Prof. Depak Gupta; Editorial Cartoonist Steve Breen; Congressmen Duncan D. Hunter, Darrell Issa, and Scott Peters; and Prof. Carl Luna.
Our luncheon meetings are held monthly at Bernardo Heights Country Club, usually on the second Tuesday of the month. We open the doors at 11:30 a.m. for socializing, sit down to lunch at noon, and conclude at 1:30 p.m.
During political campaign cycles we host debates by candidates for public office in the same fashion as the League of Women Voters.
